I’ve always enjoy spending time outside, turning soil, and growing plants. Designing the layout for a home garden was a natural fit. I set out slowly transforming the space over time. What started as borders and beds transformed into paths, pergolas, & a patio with a goal of creating a space that feels cozy, natural, & familiar yet still providing surprise & delight as you discover a variety of plants & interests along the way.
The garden is an opportunity to design a space and paint it with the color and texture of plants. Creating a lush green retreat inspired by the gardens I’ve had the opportunity to visit and the beauty of our natural landscape. My goal is a tranquil space that provides a relaxing outlet from the busy world while creating interest that leads you around each corner to the next discovery.
Landscaping is a personal challenge that continues my efforts to learn & grow as an artist while providing a sustainable and relaxing outlet.
